Who we are.

SueMyLawyer.org (the "site") is operated by Theory Road LLC ("we," "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information, not legal advice.

The site provides general information about legal malpractice and the law in the United States. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer licensed in your state. Laws change and differ by state, and we cannot promise that every page reflects the latest developments. Do not act, or decide not to act, based only on what you read here.

Attorney advertising.

The site and its case review are attorney advertising. We are not a law firm and not a lawyer referral service. We do not endorse or recommend any attorney and do not evaluate the merits of any claim. Using the site does not create an attorney-client relationship with us or with any attorney. Participating attorneys pay flat advertising fees as described in our advertising disclosure.

No guarantees.

We do not guarantee that any attorney will contact you, that any attorney will take your case, or any result in any matter. Deadlines to file a claim can be short, and submitting a case review does not stop or pause any deadline.

Your submissions.

You agree that the information you submit is accurate and is your own, and that you have the right to share it. You authorize us to use and share it as described in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use.

You agree not to:

• submit false, misleading, or someone else's information;
• use the site for any unlawful purpose or to harass anyone;
• scrape, copy, or collect content or data from the site by automated means without our written permission;
• interfere with the site's security or operation, or try to gain unauthorized access to it;
• upload viruses or other harmful code.

Intellectual property.

The content, design, and graphics on the site are owned by or licensed to Theory Road LLC and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, noncommercial use, and you may quote brief passages with a link and credit to SueMyLawyer.org. Any other use requires our written permission. Statutes, court rules, and court opinions we cite belong to the public record.

Links to other sites.

The site links to courts, legislatures, bar associations, and other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimer of warranties.

The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Theory Road LLC and its members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site, your reliance on its content, or the acts or omissions of any attorney you contact through it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred dollars. Some states do not allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you.

Indemnity.

You agree to hold Theory Road LLC harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms.

Governing law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction, unless the law of your state requires otherwise.

Changes.

We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date above when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
