Why this page exists.
When you submit a case review, we share your information with participating attorneys and law firms, and they pay us for advertising. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws, that can count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Our site also uses analytics and advertising tools that may count as sharing for targeted advertising.
How to opt out.
Email hello@suemylawyer.org with the subject line Do not sell. Include the name, email address, and phone number you used so we can find your records. You do not need an account, and we will not ask for more than we need to process the request.
After we receive your request, we will stop selling or sharing your personal information going forward and will act on it within the time the law requires. We cannot recall information that was already sent to a participating attorney before your request, but you can contact that attorney directly, and you can reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
Global Privacy Control.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. You do not need to email us as well, though you may if you want the opt-out applied to information you have already submitted.
Authorized agents.
An authorized agent may submit a request for you. We may ask for proof that you gave the agent permission and may ask you to confirm your identity directly.
No discrimination.
We will not treat you differently for opting out. Opting out does not affect your access to our guides.
